The ministry said that the Center has so far provided 22,00,59,880 doses of the vaccine to the states and union territories in the free category and direct purchase by the state.
States have 1 crore corona vaccine supplements
The Ministry of Health quoted the data available till 8 am on Wednesday, out of the 22,00,59,880 doses given to the states, a total of 20,13,74,636 doses (including the vaccinated vaccines) have been used. The ministry said, "More than 1.77 crores (1,77,52,594) doses of Kovid-19 vaccines are still available with the states and union territories. Apart from this, he will get another 1,00,000 doses in the next three days.
Corona vaccine will continue to be available free of charge to state governments
Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Center is providing free vaccines of Kovid-19 to the States and Union Territories. Apart from this, they are also facilitating the direct purchase of vaccines. The ministry said that the government has a comprehensive strategy to deal with the epidemic, an important part of which is vaccination. Under this strategy, the Government of India will purchase 50 percent of the vaccine doses of any vaccine manufacturer approved by the Central Drugs Laboratory every month. It will continue to provide these supplements to the State Governments free of cost as before.
From May 1, the corona vaccination campaign has been started for people in the age group of 18 to 45 years from May 1. However, in many states such as Delhi and Maharashtra, the third phase of the corona vaccine campaign is currently stalled due to the lack of vaccines.
