    Can success stories charted by non-Indian CEOs prompt India Inc to hire more of them?

    This is a far cry from earlier instances of foreign CEOs exiting Indian companies due to a mismatch of culture and expectations.

    Synopsis

    IT company Wipro appointed Thierry Delaporte in July last year and restructured operations and resources. Drug maker DRL had appointed Erez Israeli at its helm in mid-2019 and the company has been an outperformer in its sector. Jonathan Hunt has been the CEO of contract research and manufacturing company Syngene International since 2015 and the company’s performance has been promising both on the ground and on the bourses.

    Wipro, Dr Reddy’s Labs (DRL), Syngene International and Reliance Digital are tasting success with their non-Indian CEOs.
