The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has proposed to conduct examinations from July 15 to August 26 and declare the results in September. The board has also proposed two options. Among these, there are options to conduct regular examinations at notified centers for 19 major subjects or for short-term examinations in the schools where students are studying.

More than 300 students have written to Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, requesting the cancellation of the proposal for conducting direct examinations and requesting the implementation of the alternative evaluation scheme as in the previous year.
A senior education ministry official said, "We have received suggestions and feedback from a large number of states." There is widespread consensus among states that examinations should be conducted. As stated by the first minister, the decision taken together will be announced by June 1.
The Delhi government has reiterated its stand to either vaccinate the students or cancel the examinations. It has said that if vaccinations are conducted by getting vaccinated, then the Delhi government is in favor of another option in which it is proposed to conduct short-term examinations in the school of the children.
The education minister of Maharashtra said after Sunday's meeting that the state was still in favor of the idea of ​​conducting an assessment without conducting an examination. The Punjab government has also opted for the second option. However, he reiterated that students should be given the Kovid vaccine before the exam.
Punjab Education Minister Vijay Indra Singla told the Center on Tuesday that the students of class 12 should be vaccinated before deciding to conduct board exams. Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, and Karnataka have also advocated another option. Kerala also raised the subject of vaccination in the meeting. A large section of students and parents are demanding that the examinations be canceled.
