Noida: In an online meeting with Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) on Tuesday, district magistrate Suhas LY directed the district health department to facilitate online death certificates after submission of requisite documents from Antim Niwas in Sector 94, hospital certificate and residence proof letter from RWA so that residents don’t have to make rounds of the CMO office. The meeting that was attended by over 50 RWAs also had the DM direct a single point person contact in sector nigrani committees to coordinate with the district health and administration departments for Covid care measures. On demand raised by RWAs for medicines associated with black fungus to be arranged at the district level, the DM said that for the time being, the state government order of procuring the same form Meerut will continue. He also hinted at an unlock expected from next week subject to government order. The DM, however, assured the residents that the district is preparing all necessary infrastructure to deal with a possible third wave of the pandemic. While almost all RWAs raised the demand for increased vaccination, the DM maintained that “all Covid protocols should be followed at the vaccination centres and only those residents should come to the centres who are to be vaccinated. Unnecessary crowding should be avoided”. Also, given the spate of cases of black fungus in GB Nagar, many RWAs demanded that all concerned medicines related to the disease be made available at the district level so that a resident does not have to make repeat visits to Meerut to procure them.
