Indian Oil to provide 78 ICU beds at GMCH

In a positive development towards the fight against COVID-19, Indian Oil Corporation Limited has announced to provide 78 ICU beds at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in Guwahati.

G Ramesh, executive director & state head at Indian Oil’s marketing office in Guwahati, informed Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma about the step taken by the PSU to provide the ICU beds on May 25. Health minister Keshav Mahanta was also present during the visit of the IOCL officials.

Appreciating the gesture, chief minister Sarma termed it a true example of social responsibility. He said that the support extended by IOCL would be a great help for the COVID-affected people of the state.

Ramesh was accompanied by other officials of the IOCL.
