WWE SmackDown: WWE veteran and future Hall of Famer The Rock has made a revelation stating that Harvey Wippleman (Real name- Bruno Laer) was the one who fabricated the name “SmackDown” for WWE’s Blue Brand.
The revelation was made when The Rock responded to a tweet from WWE on FOX official handle that posted the vintage logo of SmackDown and asked the fans- “Who is the first @WWE Superstar you think of when you see this logo?”
Many fans named The Rock, as the Brahma Bull was the first-ever pick of Friday Nights in the draft by Vince McMahon, whereas others named their favorite SmackDown moment and wrestlers. The Rock also responded to the post and wrote,
“Well clearly the dude who coined the name Smackdown in the first place and eventually made it so famous it’s now in the Webster’s dictionary…and his name is Downtown Bruno.”

The Rock’s return
It has been more than one and a half years since we saw The Rock on WWE TV. His last appearance came at the FOX premiere of WWE SmackDown. The Rock has always been in the news to return to the squared circle and go one-on-one against his cousin Roman Reigns. However, there is no robust news on his return as of now.
