ITANAGAR, May 25: Jairampur Battalion of Assam Rifles under Spear Corps paid last respect to their brave soldier at Modokko village, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh on May 23 with pride and anguish.

Rfn (GD) Avatar Chakma was killed in action during an encounter with insurgents on May 22. The last rites of the brave heart were performed with full military honours at Jairampur and Modokko Nala village, Diyun.
