Hyderabad: The union’s Ministry of Health on Tuesday awarded an additional 700 Amphotericin B vials for the treatment of COVID-19 patients with Mucormycosis (also known as Black Fungus) to Telangana.

The new application of the antifungal agent is a supplement to the 890 scales released by the center last Friday.

The center allocated 19,420 extra bottles of Amphotericin on Tuesday, in addition to the 23,680 bottles previously released on May 21 to all states. In the first phase of the award, the center awarded 1050 Amphotericin B vials to Telangana.
