Puducherry: Lakshmi Narayanan to take oath as Protem speaker on May 26
Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan will administer the oath of office to Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan.
In the Union Territory of Puducherry, the NR Congress legislator Lakshmi Narayanan will take Oath as the Protem speaker of the 15th Legislative Assembly on the 26th of May.
In a press communique the Assembly Secretary Munisamy informed that a simple function has been arranged at Raj Nivas on Wednesday morning at 9 AM.
Lieutenant Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan will administer the oath of office to Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan.
Further around 10 o clock all the 30 elected representatives and 3 nominated MLAs will also take Oath as the Members of the Legislative Assembly in the speaker s chamber. They will be administered the oath of office by the protem speaker Lakshmi Narayanan.
In Puducherry, this is the first time that the BJP will be a part of the coalition government. In the NDA alliance the NR Congress won in 10 seats and BJP secured 6.
