A COVID testing facility has been setup in the village of Cavelossim by the Cavelossim COVID warriors in association with Victor Hospital at the Cavelossim Sports Club Hall.

Speaking at the launch of the facility, Cavelossim COVID warriors’ convenor Dixon Vaz called on people from neighbouring villages to avail the benefit. “We have started a COVID testing centre in Cavelossim with the help of Victor Hospital for the locals and neighbouring villagers. It will help reduce the need to travel to the town for the purpose of testing and will benefit lots of people. It will function from 9 am to noon from Monday to Saturday and I appeal to people to get tested as part of our fight against the virus,” he said.

Selvin Rodrigues member of the marketing team at Victor Hospital meanwhile informed of the services that will be made available.

“We will be offering the RT-PCR and antigen testing at this centre. It can be availed by all including adjoining villagers. The reports will be given within 12 to 24 hours and will have a bar code that is digitally signed by the doctor and can be used for travelling purposes,” he said.
