Hyderabad: While India is undergoing a massive COVID-19 pandemic, there are some of the villages in Telangana that have not yet been affected by the virus.
Dammayyapeta in the Kodimyal block of the Jagtial district is such a village where no single case is COVID-19 still popped up. There are about 293 houses in Dammayyapeta, with most young people in the village learning about the country COVID-19 protocols through newspapers and television channels.
The combination of rural awareness, discipline, wearing masks, maintaining social distance and good health enabled them to avoid contamination.
