Sangareddy: Mahendar Reddy, director general of police, said on Tuesday that police will deposit vehicles in the courts if people are repeatedly found to be locked up.
The DGP said during a visit to the Patancheru area in the Sangareddy district to investigate the implementation of the closure, and police will take strict action if anyone is caught walking on the roads for no proper reason. He said they had issued instructions to all the district police in the state asking them to strictly enforce the lockdown.
“Strict implementation of the closure is the only way to break the chain of Coronavirus,” Reddy said, advising people not to leave their homes unless they have emergency work.
After investigating the implementation of the lock in Patancheru, the top man appreciated the superintendent of police S Chandrashekar Reddy for strictly enforcing the lock. DSP Patancheru S Bheem Reddy and others were present.
