Dr Nageshwar Reddy becomes the first Indian to win the Rudolf V Schindler Award

Hyderabad: Padma Bhushan Award-Winning and Renowned Gastroenterologist Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, who is also the Chair of AIG Hospitals, has won the highest honor of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) – the Rudolf V Schindler Award first Indian makes what it receives honor.

The Rudolf V Schindler Award is named after Dr. Schindler, widely regarded as the ‘father of gastroscopy’, and is the highest category in the Crystal Awards of ASGE.

According to a report by The Indian ExpressThe chairman of AIG Hospitals said at the event: ‘This award is proof to all endoscopists worldwide – even from developing countries – that hard work and dedication are recognized by society, no matter where they work. With this honor, I devote myself to the training and promotion of quality endoscopy. ”

“ASGE’s greatest honor is given to a member who has guidance in endoscopic research, teaching and service in the field of GI Endoscopy, and illustrates the standards and traditions of Dr. Schindler,” said Dr. Klaus Mergener, President of ASGE. He further said that Dr Nageshwar Reddy is one of the first doctors to promote endoscopy in India, and led the initiative to train numerous endoscopists all over the world.

Dr Nageshwar Reddy has received several awards – the ASGE Master Endoscopist Award in 2009, the ASGE International Leadership Award in 2011 and the Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology in 2012.
