The Special Cell of the Delhi Police, probing the alleged Congress “toolkit” against the Modi government, descended on Twitter offices in Delhi and Gurugram this evening. Police officials said two teams at the Twitter offices in Delhi’s Lado Sarai and in Gurugram served notice on its officials, asking them to join the probe in the “toolkit” case.
The notice to Twitter is meant to clarify “its classification of a tweet” by BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra as “manipulative”, said a senior Delhi Police official, adding that the Special Cell had asked Twitter to share the information it had with regard to the alleged “toolkit” and explain why it had used the “manipulated media” tag for it. — TNS
