Petrol and Diesel Rate Today in Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad: Prices of Petrol and Diesel were once again revised upwards on Tuesday morning. So far this month, fuel prices have been increased 13 times. Petrol in Delhi today costs Rs 93.44 per litre, an increase of 23 paise. Diesel in the capital city costs Rs 84.32 litre today, up 25 paise. Petrol price in Delhi has been increased by Rs 3.04 so far in May, while diesel price has surged Rs 3.59 per lire. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise the fuel prices on a daily basis in line with benchmark international price and foreign exchange rates.
Mumbai’s petrol cost is the highest across metro cities at Rs 99.71 per litre, up by 22 paise since yesterday. Diesel in the country’s financial capital costs Rs 91.57 per litre, an increase of 27 paise. Petrol rates in Mumbai are inching closer to the Rs 100 mark. Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan had the costliest petrol and diesel in the country at Rs 104.42 per litre and Rs 97.18 a litre, respectively. The divergence in prices between Delhi and Mumbai is owing to different prices in different cities. Petrol and Diesel prices are fixed on the basis of freight charges, local taxes, and VAT.

-Noida (UP): Petrol prices – 91.11 per litre; Diesel prices – Rs 84.79 per litre
-Mohali (Punjab): Petrol prices – Rs 95.62 per litre; Diesel prices – 87.22 per litre
-Chandigarh: Petrol prices 89.88 per litre; Diesel prices – Rs 83.98 per litre
-Gurugram (Haryana): Petrol prices – Rs 91.31 per litre; Diesel prices – Rs 84.90 per litre

After having gained on Monday, crude oil price held their ground and were little changed on Tuesday morning. US WTI crude futures for July traded at $65.97 per barrel, while Brent crude futures were at $68.40 per barrel, according to Reuters.
