WWE Smackdown: Edge advertised for Smackdown. Is the Hall of Famer making his WWE TV return?

WWE Smackdown: Just two days back, there was news surfacing on why Edge is not seen on WWE TV, and today, WWE has advertised the Rated-R Superstar for return to WWE Smackdown this summer.

As per WWE sources, the 11-time World Champion and fan-favorite Edge look all set to make his WWE TV return on the 16th July episode of WWE Smackdown on FOX Network. This episode of WWE Smackdown will be live from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Wrestlemania 37 was the last time when Edge appeared on WWE TV

Edge’s last WWE TV appearance came at the Wrestlemania 37, pay-per-view where he lost a triple-threat Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns- who pinned both the competitors (Edge and Daniel Bryan) at the same time.

The advertisement revealed by a new WWE website shows Edge, Sasha Banks, Big E, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, and Rey Mysterio. On the last week’s episode of WWE Smackdown, WWE announced that from 16th July the company will mark the return of the WWE universe (live crowd), and Houston would be the first stop of the 25-city tour.

Sasha Banks also has not made an appearance on WWE TV since losing her title to Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania 37

Just like Edge, Sasha Banks has also not made any WWE TV appearances since her loss to Bianca Belair at Wrestlemania 37. Sasha is expected to be back on the July 16 episode of WWE Smackdown, and if she does, we could see her challenging Belair right away for a rematch for the WWE Smackdown’s Women’s Championship.

As far as Edge is concerned, the Hall of Famer is due to get a one-on-one match against the reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and it would be interesting to see if he challenges the head of the table right away.
