Instagram rolls out new tools to help creators track their Live videos Reels
Facebook-owned photo-sharing app Instagram has rolled out the support of Insights for Reels and Live to help creators and businesses better “understand and evaluate their performance on Instagram.”

The company said that this is being done to allow creators and businesses to understand how their content is performing.

For instance, for Reels, Instagram will show new metrics including Plays, Accounts Reached, Likes, Comments, Saves, and Shares. As for Lives, the app will show Accounts Reached, Peak Concurrent Viewers, Comments, and Shares.

All these new metrics will be visible in Account Insights as well. When it comes to Account Insights, Instagram has said that it has added new breakdowns that provide transparency into which types of accounts creators are reaching and which content formats are the most effective at driving Reach.

In the next coming months, Instagram will also begin rolling out new preset time frame options in Insights, expanding beyond the last 7 and 30 days.

The platform will also begin supporting Insights on desktop.

Recently, it was reported that Instagram is testing the option to post from a desktop site.

Tipster Alessandro Paluzzi shared the update via a tweet where he said that this feature is currently being tested internally.

To create a post from Instagram desktop website, one will have to click on the button placed at the top of the Desktop View (a "+" icon inside a rounded box).

Desktop users will be able to drag and drop images and videos on the site. They will also be provided with a photo editor support to crop images and apply filters.
