NCC says subscribers are not required to submit IMEI number

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has denied media reports that subscribers are required to submit the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of their phones to it from July. NCC said at no time did it issue a statement regarding the registration of IMEI by subscribers and it has no plans to do so.
