Telangana government allows vaccination for more than 18 years in private hospitals

Hyderabad: The Telangana government allowed Tuesday COVID-19 vaccination for people older than 18 years in private hospitals.

The privately designated private hospitals COVID-19 vaccination centers in the state may not administer vaccinations to eligible individuals.

The state government also allowed private hospitals to do vaccinations at workplaces (at the request of institutions / companies / closed companies, etc.) by registering on the CoWIN portal and following COVID-19 vaccination guidelines.

Earlier, the state administration had the process of keeping the vaccines at PCVCs administered to individuals older than 18 years. On Tuesday, the health department also resumed the administration of the second dose Covid eligible vaccines to individuals throughout the government COVID-19 vaccination centers.

After a ten-day gap, the second dose of vaccination for beneficiaries over the age of 45 resumed in the state on Tuesday. Eligible beneficiaries over 45 years of age as a result of the second dose are stabbed at government-run vaccination centers.

The vaccination discontinued due to the increase in the gap for two doses of Covishield, in addition to the shortage of vaccines, was resumed on the orders of Prime Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. KCR at a high-level meeting on Monday ordered that the vaccination be resumed for more than 45 years of beneficiaries and also asked them to provide the samples for COVID-19.
