From Tauktae to Yaas cyclone: What does it mean, how is it named and more

Cyclone Yaas is brewing over the Bay of Bengal and is likely to hit the Odisha-West Bengal coast. Just a week back, cyclone Tauktae wreaked havoc and claimed several lives in the western coastal region. It often comes to mind why each cyclone has a name. In the past, other cyclonic storms were given names like Nivar, Fani, Amphan, Titli and many more. So, how are cyclones named and from where do such names originate?
