Don't step out of home without valid reason or necessity: Telangana DGP

Hyderabad, May 25 (UNI) Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy on Tuesday urged the public not to step out of home without valid reason or necessity.

Speaking to media, Mr Reddy who visited JNTU Police Station limits in Kukatpally along with Mr VC Sajjanar, Police Commissioner, Cyberabad said, the lockdown is being implemented very strictly across the state. People are also extending cooperation to the police.
The lockdown is being implemented in the interest of the people and their health. Looking at the Covid on the rise, this decision was taken up by the Government. Lockdown is the only solution to control the spread of the virus. Mr Reddy asked people not to step out of their homes without any valid reason or necessity.

He said lockdown is strictly implemented across the state without any exception. All the police officers have come on to the road to supervise that the lockdown is implemented very strictly. All the police are trying their best to stop the movement.

No ambulances will be stopped at the borders of the state. People with valid e-passes will also be allowed, the DGP said and warned people not to apply for the pass without any valid reason and don't jeopardise your health.

Later, Mr Sajjanar toured Allywn Cross Roads, BHEL, Ramchandrapuram and other places. He took stock of the situation at ground level and ensured that lockdown rules are strictly implemented.
