Former professional baseball player Alex Rodriguez is not letting his breakup tarnish his good looks.
The father of two has been promoting makeup for men on his Instagram page and he’s very excited about his Blur Stick – a handy concealer for gents on the go.
“Working with the Hims & Hers team, I wanted to create a product that solved an issue I faced every day. I realised as I was jumping from meeting to meeting, I needed something quick and easy in my routine to conceal blemishes or razor bumps,” he says. “That’s why I am excited to share a new @Himsproduct – The Blur Stick. A-Rod and J Lo invested in Hims & Hers earlier this year, before their split in April.The couple, who were together since 2017 and got engaged in 2019, were rocked by reports that Alex had allegedly cheated with makeup artist Madison LeCroy (30).
Despite their best efforts, Alex and Jennifer could not make things work.
“She insisted on the breakup. There are too many issues that are unresolved,” a friend of J Lo told Cosmopolitan. “She has been pretty miserable and didn’t think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex.”
The couple were involved in several businesses together, including a partnership with fitness coaching app Fitplan. They’d also bought property together, leaving them to have to split assets after the breakup. Jennifer wasted no time rekindling an old flame with ex Ben Affleck, much to Alex’s apparent dismay.
"Alex understands that Jennifer is single but he was shocked by [her and Ben’s] quick meetup," a source tells ET Online. "At the end of the day, Alex wants Jennifer to be happy, but the way everything has unfolded doesn't sit well with him."
Ben was seen outside J Lo’s Los Angeles home in April several times after she officially ended things with Alex. The two also took a days-long vacation to Montana earlier this month and they were spotted just this weekend at Jennifer’s Miami home.
"Jen and Ben didn't get along at the end of their relationship years ago. But once their hurt feelings subsided they were friendly for many years,” the source says. "Now that they've fully reconnected, they are having fun together and care about each other a great deal," the source added.
Alex, meanwhile, is preparing for a fresh start in his life.
"I am about to step into a new beginning in my life,” he shared on Instagram. "Anything that doesn't serve me is clearing out of my life. New energy is emerging. New levels are unlocking for me mentally, physically and spiritually. I am remaining patient and know that this new phase of my life is coming."
