Don Bosco University, Assam has been ranked 301-400 in the recently released Impact Rankings by the TIMES Higher Education World University Rankings, a vital resource that provides the definitive list of the world's best universities.
There are 49 Higher Educational Institutions in India that made it to the list, and Don Bosco University ranked the highest among other Institutions from North East India and holds 6th position in India with University of Calcutta.
Other higher Institutions in North East India, featured in this ranking includes Mizoram University (a central university) being ranked 601-800, and NIT Silchar being ranked 801-1000.
Commenting on the TIMES Ranking, the University’s founding Vice Chancellor, Fr. (Dr) Stephen Mavely said, “Don Bosco University’s highest score is under UN SDG 15 with a score of 72.9 out of 100 which is ‘Life on Land’ where we are ranked #53 in the world and it is a testament of the eco-friendly green campus that the University prides itself”.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ranking uses carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach and teaching.
The 2021 Impact Rankings is the third edition and the overall ranking includes 1,115 universities from 94 countries/regions.
