Dr. Gagandeep Kang, a member of the Supreme Court-appointed committee on Medical Oxygen and the top virologist, has described the slow pace of vaccination in the country. They say that vaccination is slow due to the limited supply of the vaccine. Excess doses of the vaccine were expected to be available, which have not yet become available. Dr. Gagandeep said that as companies increase the production of vaccines, the pace of vaccination will also increase.
The top virologist said that we would have to import other vaccines as well, but there is also a shortage of vaccines globally and only Russian and Chinese vaccines are available. So we have to decide which vaccine we should buy until Indian companies start making their vaccines.
Dr. Gagandeep further said that we should expect that the deaths from the corona will also stabilize and begin to decrease as soon as possible. If it does not, then there may be a problem in some aspects of our reporting system.
