Hyderabad: The daily COVID-19 score in Telangana rose on Tuesday with an increase in the number of Tests.
The state reported 3,821 cases during the 24-hour period that ended Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., while the previous day was 3,043.
The health authorities fed 81,203 COVID-19 tests compared to 59 709 tests done the previous day.
Following Prime Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the health department pushed up the testing.
The minister on Monday ordered officials to use a two-pronged strategy to check the spread of the country COVID-19. He asked them to continue the fever survey from house to house to identify people with COVID-19 symptoms and spread drug sets among them and also increase the test.
The new cases raised the state’s cumulative number to 5,60,141. With 23 more people dying from the virus, the death toll has risen to 3,169.
The death rate in the case stands at 0.56 percent, which is lower than the national average of 1.1 percent.
The state still sees more recoveries than new cases. A total of 4,298 people recovered during the 24-hour period.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the Department of Health, the state’s cumulative number of recoveries has risen to 5,18,266.
The recovery rate further improved to 92.52 percent. This is higher than the national average of 89.2 percent.
The number of active cases dropped to 38,706.
With 81,203 samples tested during the 24-hour period, the state has tested 1,46,48,809 samples so far. Samples tested per million inhabitants stand at 3,93,573.
The daily score in Greater Hyderabad, which fell below 500 on Monday, rose to 537. Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri, adjacent to Hyderabad, added 226 and 215 new cases respectively.
Khammam has seen 245 infections. No other district reported more than 200 cases. Fifteen out of 33 districts recorded new letters in double digits. The Nalgonda district reported 187 cases, followed by 172 in Karimnagar, 147 in Peddapalli, 146 in Warangal Urban, 132 in Nagarkurnool and 128 in Mahaboobnagar.
