The police today claimed to have arrested two more persons for setting a Honda City car on fire at Housing Board Colony in Kalka. The suspects have been identified as Mukesh, a resident of Tipra, and Vikas, a resident of Khatik Mohalla in Kalka.
The police had earlier arrested two persons - Amjad, resident of Khera Sitaram, and Shubham, a resident of Khatik Mohalla in Kalka, - on May 17. During investigation, the duo revealed the names of other suspects.
In his complaint to the police on May 12, the car owner, Vishal of Housing Board Colony, had stated that he parked his vehicle outside his house on May 11. When he went outside to check the car around 4 am the next day, he found that it had been set on fire. He said a cheque book and Rs2.5 lakh were lying in the car.
During investigation, the police checked the CCTV footages of the area and identified two suspects who were arrested on Monday. A case has been registered against the suspects at the Kalka police station. — TNS
