Apple may be working on a new iPod touch claims report
The Apple iPod touch is one device Apple fans don’t talk much about anymore irrespective of none of its sheen having been diminished over the years. It was launched as a product entirely dedicated to music consumption and yet capable of doing more things with an internet connection and was a big deal upon its launch some years back. What happened over the years? Better iPhones happened. With them, you didn’t need to carry another smartphone-sized device to listen to music along with your iPhone. Apple also seems to have understood the point and there have been no new iPod touch products over the past few years. But that could change, as renders of a rumoured iPod touch have appeared online, and a report by Macruomors has also claimed that a new iPod touch could be in the pipeline for Apple.

The report by Macrumors, cites Twitter user @AppleLe257 as the source and has also shared some renders of the upcoming device made by user @Apple_Tomorrow.

The design is similar to that of the iPhone 12 series, with squarish edges. The device is touted to come with FaceID. Since it is the iPod touch, users would want the 3.5mm headphone jack, something the company did away with the iPhone 12. The screen size of the device is also expected to be increased from 4-inch to about 5.4-inch. Smartphone users across the world have gotten used to big displays, if not 6.5-inch plus huge ones found in gaming smartphones, and the new iPod touch won’t solely be for music consumption; content watching would also factor in and as such, a bigger screen would be much appreciated. However, a new Apple iPod touch being in development is still a rumour yet and nothing has been teased or confirmed by Apple for now.
