Given the increasing cases of black fungus, mucormycosis, the government has also started increasing the availability of key amphotericin-B in its treatment. The black fungus also damages the nose, eyes, sinuses, and sometimes the brain. There are very few cases of black fungus infection in humans. The black fungus occurs in soil, plants, spoiled fruits, and vegetables, and sometimes humans also get infected after coming into contact with it. Doctors say that steroid is being used to treat corona infection. Steroid affects immunity and black fungus catches only those with weak immunity. This is the reason why most patients recovering from corona, especially diabetic patients are prone to black fungus.
