CIDCO Lottery 2021: Over 3,000 units to be allotted to COVID warriors

If media reports are to be believed, the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) will provide affordable homes in Navi Mumbai to ‘COVID warriors’, including uniformed personnel working on the frontlines during the pandemic. The authority announced that under the scheme, 3,075 homes will be made available in Taloja for two categories — Economically Weaker Section and Lower Income Group.

The scheme will also include government employees who have worked during the pandemic, including those involved conducting surveys, tracing and tracking of people infected with COVID-19, as well as prevention, testing, treatment and relief activities.

Eligible applicants will be able to apply under the ‘Book My CIDCO Home Scheme’. Under this scheme, 842 flats are available in economically weaker sections (EWS), 1,381 flats in the low-income group (LIG) and 1,482 flats in the low-income group for the police.

Meanwhile, CIDCO is also planning to announce its housing scheme 2021, to allot affordable houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The authority is building around 40,000 units, which will be allotted under new schemes to be announced in the coming months. The new units will come up near Vashi truck terminus, Kharghar railway station, Kharghar bus terminus, Kharghar bus depot, Kalamboli bus depot, Panvel Inter-State Bus Stand (ISBT), New Panvel (w) bus depot, Kharghar Ssector-43 and Taloja Sector-21, 28, 29, 31 and 37.

CIDCO Housing Lottery for Police

CIDCO recently announced the results for housing scheme 2020, under which over 4,400 units are to be allotted to the eligible applicants employed with the Maharashtra Police Force. These units are available in Taloja, Kharghar, Kalamboli, Ghansoli and Dronagiri. Most of these apartments are in the LIG and MIG categories and are available at a starting price of Rs 28 lakhs. How to check CIDCO Lottery results

Applicants can check the results and published list by following this procedure:

Step 1: Visit CIDCO Lottery Result portal (click here).

Step 2: Enter the application number and click ‘Search’.

Step 3: The results will be displayed on your screen. 

What is the procedure after winning CIDCO Lottery

* CIDCO will send a ‘First Intimation Letter’ by post and the winner will have to submit a list of documents, such as PAN card, domicile certificate, income certificate/payslip, passport, voter’s ID, birth certificate, driver’s license and school leaving certificate.

* CIDCO will provide a ‘Provisional Offer Letter’ once all the documents are submitted and verified.  

* The successful applicant will have to pay a partial amount of the flat within a stipulated time. 

* After paying the full value of the flat, the applicant will get an allotment letter. 

* Applicants will be required to pay stamp duty and registration charges levied on the property and submit a copy of the registration certificate at the CIDCO office.

* The applicant will receive the possession letter.

Can you sell CIDCO flats?

The state government is planning to legalise the transfer of flats allotted in CIDCO projects in Navi Mumbai. At present, the beneficiaries who are allotted CIDCO flats, cannot sell it for at least five years. Now, with the amnesty scheme, those buyers who have given power of attorney to transfer their CIDCO flat before the five-year term, can get the transaction legalised.

Applicants can also apply for the housing scheme through CIDCO Lottery mobile app.

Step 1

Log on to lottery.cidcoindia.com/App

Step 2

If you are a new user, click on the ‘Register For Lottery’ tab.

Step 3

You will be redirected to the Applicant Registration Form, where you have to enter the basic details along with your mobile number, which will be used for all future communication.

Step 4

On the next screen, furnish your PAN card, Aadhaar Card and bank details, for refunds. You will also need to upload a cancelled cheque, as well as passport-size photo of the applicant.

Step 5

Once you confirm the registration, you will be redirected to a screen, where you will be able to see whether your uploaded documents are approved by CIDCO. This might take up to 24 hours.

Step 6

Once your documents are approved, the ‘Apply’ button will be enabled. Select the scheme that you want to apply for and note the code number for the same. You can select the scheme from the drop-down menu.

Step 7

The applicant can apply for the scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Step 8

Select applicant type. You can apply for the scheme individually, as well as jointly. If you are applying jointly, furnish the basic details and PAN card information, which will have to be approved by the CIDCO officers.

Step 9

Select the allotment preference, if you have any. Read the terms and conditions and whether you would be interested in other schemes, which have vacant apartments.

Step 10

Confirm the application and lottery details. You can use NEFT/RTGS, credit card, or net banking, for making the payment. Print the acknowledgment slip, sign at the applicable places with the applicant’s photograph. Upload this slip and proceed to the payment.

How to check the list of accepted applications?

1. Visit lottery.cidcoindia.com/app
2. Click ‘Accepted Applications’. The page will be redirected to a new page where you can select the lottery scheme.
3. Select the area which you have selected in your online application form. You can find your name in the list if your application has been accepted by CIDCO.

Swapnapurthi Housing Scheme 2019

Under the Swapnapurthi Housing Scheme 2019, around 814 units were allotted to applicants belonging to the economically weaker section (EWS) and lower-income group (LIG) categories at Sector 37, Kharghar. Of these, around 619 tenements are meant for the LIG category while 195 are for the EWS category.

The size of unit meant for the EWS category has been kept at 28.63 sq m while the base price is Rs 24.9 lakhs. The size of unit meant for the LIG category, on the other hand, is 34.36 sq m, for a base price of Rs 39.1 lakhs.

CIDCO Mass Housing Scheme 2019

Under the Mass Housing Scheme, around 9,249 homes were allotted to the applicants in the EWS and LIG categories.

The housing scheme offers units in Taloja, Kalamboli, Ghansoli and Dronagiri.  The flats in the EWS category are priced starting Rs 18 lakh while the LIG category units are priced Rs 25 lakh onwards. The registration has already started from September 11, 2019.

The applicants from the EWS category have to deposit Rs 5,000 as the earnest money while the applicants from the LIG category have to deposit Rs 25,000. An additional charge of Rs 250 has to be paid as registration amount.

Valley Shilp Scheme

Under the Valley Shilp scheme, CIDCO will allot MIG and HIG flats in Sector 36, Kharghar, one of the premium areas in Navi Mumbai. The starting cost of these apartments is Rs 91 lakhs. Interested applicants can visit the site at Plot No 3, Valley Shilp Road, Sector 36, Kharghar. The project is ready-to-move-in. 

NRI Seawoods scheme

CIDCO is offering only 17 units in the HIG category at a starting cost of Rs 2.88 crores. These units are located in Seawoods Estates Phase 2. The project is also ready-to-move-in. 

The last date for online application was November 26, 2019.
