PUNE: A 75-year-old woman was found bludgeoned to death inside her house at Kurkundi village near Chakan in Pune district on Monday.
The Chakan police said that the murder came to light in the morning when the woman's acquaintance came home and found her body wrapped in a bedsheet.
The woman was staying alone. Her son lives in the same village. The victim's acquaintance immediately alerted her son who informed the police.
"Nothing was stolen from the woman's house. We are probing the case from all angles," said an officer from the Chakan police.
