KT, KAIST to open AI research institute in Daejeon

KT has signed an agreement with South Korea's science and technology university KAIST to establish a research institute for artificial intelligence and software development, Yonhap news agency reports. Under the terms of the agreement, KT will work with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) to build the research institute in the central city of Daejeon, 164 kilometers south of Seoul, by end-2021.
