E3 registration opens to fans next week

Great expotations.

Fan registration for this year's all-digital E3 opens on 3rd June via E3Expo.com, letting you sign up for access to the event's app and online hub.

Earlier this month, E3's organiser the ESA promised a virtual experience for fans with "booths", hosted events, video conferencing, profiles, avatars, online forums and leaderboards.

How it will look and work is yet to be seen, though the ESA has said all partaking developers and publishers can still livestream announcements on YouTube and other streaming platforms as well.

If you're an "industry professional" or "creator/influencer", you can sign up a little earlier on 31st May. And if you're lucky enough to be a member of the media you can register from today.

E3 2021 runs online from Saturday 12th June until Tuesday 15th June, with a five-day media event the week before.

Numerous companies are taking part, including Nintendo, Xbox, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Capcom, Warner Bros., Bandai Namco and Gearbox.

Other companies are doing their own thing, such as PlayStation - which will be part of Geoff Keighley's E3-timed Summer of Gaming live show - and EA, which will instead hold EA Play in July.
