French railway company SNCF to offer DWDM network services via new Terralpha subsidiary

France's state-owned railway company SNCF has announced the creation of a new subsidiary to sell fibre access on a wholesale basis. Named Terralpha, the company will specialise in DWDM network services (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), targeting primarily telecom and data centre operators. A new 'Lambda' offering will enable fast and reliable data transmission between data centres, with links ranging from 10 to 100 Gbps.
