
- Getroud Met Rugby actor Sean van Noordwyk was crowned Mr World South Africa on Saturday.
- Sean, who is known for his role as Reitz on the KykNET soapie, took over the title from TV personality and medical doctor Fezile Mkhize.
- "Still in shock at the moment, but hopefully my mind and body will catch up soon," Sean said in an Instagram post on Sunday.
Getroud Met Rugby actor Sean van Noordwyk was crowned Mr World South Africa on Saturday. Busa Mbele came in third place, and Anthony Sikanadze was crowned first runner-up.
Sean, who is known for his role as Reitz on the KykNET soapie, took over the title from TV personality and medical doctor Fezile Mkhize.
Fezile Mkhize represented South Africa at the Mr World 2019 competition, where he was named the first runner-up and crowned Mr World Africa.
"Still in shock at the moment, but hopefully my mind and body will catch up soon," Sean said in an Instagram post on Sunday.
He went on to say: "This journey has and is going to change my life forever."
Previously speaking to Huisgenoot about his decision to enter Mr World South Africa, Sean said he saw the opportunity as a way to be involved in his community and give back.
Mr World South Africa and Mr Gay World South Africa work under the banner of 'United with Purpose', which promotes equality and showing the world that all men can stand together for the same purpose regardless of race, religion, colour, or creed. Mr Gay World South Africa took place on Friday and saw Louw Breytenbach crowned the winner.
