Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is an upcoming Malayalam language Epic Historical War movie written and directed by Priyadarshan. The movie which is set in the 16th century, tells the story of Kunjali Marakkar IV, naval commander of the Samoothiri, known for defending the Malabar Coast against the Portuguese invasion. Ani Sasi has penned the screenplay for the movie.

The movie is the talk of the town ever since it has gone on floors. The movie is postponed due to the pandemic and a new release date of august 12, 2021, has been announced a few days back. 


But with the second wave and the situation not getting better, the makers are planning to release it on the OTT platform. Many big OTT giants are offering a whopping sum and the talks have begun. But inside sources revealed that Mohan Lal has bluntly rejected the OTT deal and said angrily to his team that his film is made for the big screen only.
