Apple sends out official invite for its biggest event of 2021
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has sent out official invite for WWDC 2021 — its annual developer conference. WWDC 2021 invite reads, “And away we go” and states that the keynote will take place on June 7, 10 am (PDT), which is around 10.30 pm (IST). Just like last year, Apple will hold an online-only event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
What to expect at WWDC 2021
Apple will announce its “latest software and technologies” as per the invite. In other words, we will get to see the latest updates across its operating systems on Apple devices. iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS and watchOS 8. We could also see changes to TV OS.

“Free for all developers, WWDC 2021 will bring together the global Apple developer community and provide them with new insights into the technologies, tools, and frameworks they rely on,” said Apple in a post on its newsroom.

The conference will offer developers the opportunity to engage with one another, and directly with Apple engineers for guidance on building apps and games.

Streamed directly from Apple Park, the keynote address will be available via Apple’s official website, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, with on-demand playback available after the conclusion of the stream.
Apple products at WWDC 2021
Traditionally, WWDC is all about software and not hardware, so it’s unlikely that any new products will be unveiled. However, Apple did make an exception in 2019 when it showcased the new iMac and the iMac display. The rumour mill is quiet about whether any product could be launched at WWDC 2021.
