Tamil Nadu universities to conduct online exams from June 14
Representative imageCHENNAI: Tamil Nadu state universities will conduct an online exam for all students starting June 14. The re-exam for students who wrote an online exam in February and regular exam for engineering students studying in even semesters will be conducted from June 14 to July 30.
"All universities except Anna University will conduct semester and arrear exams from June 15 to July 15. The exam results will be released before July 30," a release from the state government said on Monday.
"Students who have already appeared for the exam need not pay the exam fees. The exams for 2017 and 2013 regulations students will be conducted from June 14 to July 14. For students who appear for exams before 2013 regulations, the exams are scheduled to be held from June 21 to July 30," the release said.
Sources in Anna University said the schedule is for both re-exam and regular exam students. "Except for first year students, the regular semester exams will be conducted for all students. Final year students will complete their exams at the earliest," a source said.

According to the release, higher education minister K Ponmudi conducted a meeting with vice-chancellors of universities through video-conference. In the meeting, the V-Cs decided to postpone the online semester exams planned to conduct from May 25 due to Covid-19.
Following the complaints of more failures in the proctored online test, the state government asked the Anna University to conduct re-exam for three hours as in other universities and these exams will be unsupervised exams. The registration for re-exam for students who didn't appear for the February exams started on Monday.
