Samsung is widely reported to be working on an affordable Android tablet but there is no consensus regarding the official name. It was recently claimed to be known as Galaxy Tab S7 XL Lite but we are hearing a different name now. A newly spotted Google Play Console listing has suggested that it might actually be called Galaxy Tab S7 FE.
The name does make sense as Samsung has previously launched "FE" versions of phones that were a premium release. The Google Play Console listing also reveals a few important specifications. The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is speculated to sport a 12.4-inch LCD display with 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. This is different from the AMOLED panel used on the main Galaxy Tab S7.
The choice of processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G coupled with at least 4GB of RAM. It is expected to have a dual rear camera setup featuring an 8-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. There are no words on the front camera though. The battery capacity on the tablet is said to be 10,090mAh with support for 44W fast charging. Both of these things are the same as the Galaxy Tab S7+.
The Galaxy Tab S7 FE is speculated to have a 5G variant along with the usual WiFi-only and 4G LTE variants. An exact launch date for the much-rumored tablet is unknown but it is expected to become available soon. The pricing details are also missing but it should be cheaper than the standard Galaxy Tab S7 that costs about EUR 700.
