How will you sum up your journey in acting? Any regrets?
It’s been a beautiful journey, full of fun. I did everything I wanted to do and have no regrets. The journey had its ups and downs, but that’s what the fun is all about. I feel blessed with all the opportunities I’ve got.
Have you taken any formal training in acting?
I don’t come from a background of acting. It’s a gift for me and comes from within. I guess in my past life I was an actress too!
How will you define your character, Rajvee Rawal, in the show?
Rajvee Rawal is a confident, sorted and strong person who wears her heart on her sleeve and shows her love for her sons. Her family is everything for her. As a person, she has immense integrity.
What do you have to say about your onscreen son Vijayendra Kumeria?
Vijayendra is so easy to work with. He is very professional, always prepared with his lines and open to suggestions. He met me as Darsh, not Vijayendra, which made our chemistry the way it is.
In this pandemic situation, how are you keeping yourself calm?
I believe in doing my best and hoping for the best. And then letting go. Stress is useless.
Staying away from your family is tough, how are you managing?
I love my job. I look forward to working every day. I speak to my family every day. Work is worship for me.
Social media is a place where an actor has to face a lot of trolls; do you think before you post anything?
After much thought I have realised I am not a person who can deal with the constant need of posting on social media. If there is pressure, I won’t do it. I now have a better understanding of myself. I enjoy it. Fortunately, I haven’t faced trolls.
What do you do in your me-time?
My ‘me-time’ is with my hubby and pets. Lots of fun and laughter. Also the time I enjoy when I wake up and sit in the sun at six am, and just admire the beauty around me in my garden.
