Opinions about the options for conducting the exam were different in this meeting which lasted about three hours. There was a long discussion on the options for the examination in this meeting held with the states to conduct the 12th board examinations. It was agreed to keep the center for examinations. Also, there was talk of taking the examinations in less than three hours i.e. one and a half hours. During this time, suggestions were made to keep the question papers multiple-choice or to conduct an examination of some major subjects only. During this time it was also suggested that the subjects of the examination be selected only by asking the students. In other subjects, marks should be given based on an assessment of their performance. During this time, CBSE also placed two examination options before the states.
Detailed suggestions sought from states till May 25
Union Education Minister Nishank has asked all the states to give a detailed opinion in this regard by 25 May. It is believed that after the opinion of the states, the full report will be placed before the Prime Minister. It is believed that the states will be allowed to choose the option based on their convenience. Also, the decision will be taken given the safety of health of the students, parents, and teachers, but there will be an examination.
