New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) In continuation with its efforts to transport critical Covid consignments from neighbouring countries, the Indian Navy on Sunday said that INS Jalashwa with 18 Cryogenic Oxygen tanks, other critical components such as 3650 Oxygen cylinders and 39 ventilators from Brunei and Singapore, arrived in Visakhapatnam today.
The Naval spokesperson Commander Vivek Madhwal said that out of 18 Cryogenic tanks, 15 are filled with Liquid Medical Oxygen.
As part of on-going COVID Relief Operation 'Samudra Setu II’ launched by the Indian Navy, these consignments including Oxygen containers and ventilators were facilitated by the Indian Missions, have been being handed over to government agencies in various States and NGOs.
Indian naval ship INS Trikand reached Mumbai on Sunday with 40 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) from Qatar today, as part of the ongoing Operation ‘Samudra Setu II’ to support India’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
