Hyderabad: The Ministry of Health of the Union on Saturday further increased the share of Remdesivir injections to Telangana by allocating 2, 47 000 injections until 30 May.
Earlier, in the second phase of the award, the center allocated 1.45 lakh Remdesivir to Telangana until 16 May, which was improved to 2.15 lakh on 16 May.
The increased allocation is expected to moderately improve the availability of Remdesivir injections Covid positive patients in Telangana.
While production improved and more pharmaceutical companies increased their production capacity, the Ministry of Health of the Union also increased the allocation of Remdesivir to individual states.
In April, the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Union and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) awarded 21,500 injections and later increased the grant to 41,500 injections.
