Hyderabad: AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday reacted to the Unnao incident where a vegetable hawker succumbed to injuries after police in Uttar Pradesh beat him mercilessly for selling vegetables and said the Yogi government hated Muslims committed in the state.
Owaisi told ANI: ‘If the boy’s name is not Faisal and he is a Hindu with a Hindu name like Vivek Tiwari, the Yogi Adityanath government would have apologized to the family and immediately issued an ex gratia released to the deceased family members. . ”
He said such incidents show that the government in Uttar Pradesh has committed hatred against Muslims living in the state.
He said empirical evidence shows that nearly 56 per cent of Uttar Pradesh police believe Muslims are criminals even before a proper investigation has taken place.
He said: “This hatred towards Muslims is reflected in the UP police towards Muslim youths of the state.”
Owaisi said he condemned the act, saying it was another black stamp on the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh led by Yogi Adityanath.

He said it was the duty of the Modi government to save the lives of the people. He questioned why the Central Government withheld all the necessary medicines used to treat Covid and the black fungal infections.
‘By doing so, the Modi government is neglecting its duties regarding the well – being of the people of India and the Covid situation, ”Owaisi said.
He said it was a disgrace to the Indian government that, although many experts repeatedly say that a second wave should hit India, and now the Modi government says it is ready for the third wave of Covid 19.
