Shimla, May 22 (UNI) Second case of fatal black fungus has been possibly detected in a patient who was referred here at the IGMC hospital from Arki area of Solan district on Saturday, Hospital sources said.
Superintendent Dr Janak Raj, in a media bulletin, confirmed that patient was operated in the hospital who is probably suffering with symptoms of mucormycosis.
"The patient has undergone surgery and his condition in reported stable," Dr Raj told UNI.
Notably, this is second case of mucormycosis as first case was tested in a nCoV positive women patient
on May 4. The condition of women is also stable.
