Jalandhar, May 21
Sukhraj Singh, son of Behbal Kalan firing victim Krishan Bhagwan Singh of Niamiwala in Faridkot, today said he wanted the state government to strongly put forth the details of the findings of the case in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
He said the case was in the last stage of investigation and he did not want it to meet the same fate as the Kotkapura firing incident.
He urged the government to challenge the High Court decision in the Supreme Court. He said in the Kotkapura incident, the entire SIT, led by Kunwar Vijay Pratap, was responsible for the relief to seven of the 10 police officials who were earlier accused in the case. He questioned the state government as to who was responsible for this laxity.
He said he was peeved at the politics being done on the incidents. He questioned former minister Navjot Singh Sidhu for daily putting out tweets on the matter now. “Where was he earlier?” he said. — TNS
