Kakching, May 21 2021: Manipuri short film 'Panthougi Liklam' (Footprints of the father) bagged the best short film award in the online competition 'Short Film competition on Netaji's dream for India' organised jointly by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) in connection with the birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

The film has been directed by Rakesh Moirangthem and produced by Suraj Khongbantabam.

Renowned Manipuri actress Leishangthem Tonthoi played the lead role in the film.

The award was announced on web portal of government of India's My Gov on Thursday.

The award included a cash prize of Rs Two lakh.
