Fall in new cases continues in Vadodara

Vadodara: The steady downward trend in the number of new Covid-19 cases reported in the city and district continued with 841 new cases being reported in the 24 hours ending on Friday evening.
The new cases were detected form 10,382 tests conducted across the city and district. With these, the total number of Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began reached 63,436.
Seven more were considered dead due to Covid-19 after reports of the death audit committee. This took the total number of deceased to 564 excluding those who had tested positive for Covid-19, but died due to comorbidities or other ailments.
On Friday, 1,066 persons were discharged from hospitals as well as home quarantine. This left 9,663 live cases in the city and district including 271 on ventilators or BiPAP machines and 427 others on oxygen support.
