Lucknow, May 21 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh reported 7735 new COVID-19 cases while 17,668 people recovered from the virus during the past 24 hours.
UP government officials here on Friday said that the new fresh cases was 30,320 less than the maximum number of cases of corona infection which came to light on April 24 last month.
In the last 24 hours, 17,668 corona-infected persons were discharged after treatment.
The total number of active corona cases in the state now is 1,03,276. Thus, the most active cases of corona infection recorded on April 30, 2021 in the state have decreased by 68 per cent from 3,10,783.
The officials said the recovery rate of corona infection is continuously increasing in the state. Currently, the recovery rate stands at 92.5 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 2,89,210 Covid tests have been conducted in the state. So far, 4, 61,12, 448 corona tests have been done in the state.
