    Bottoms up kettlebell presses?

    Anyone ever try these?

I need a light vertical push to pair with my heavy chest press work one of my push days, I figured that bottoms up KB presses would fit the bill nicely.

I've never tried but as I understand they're mainly for grip strength, stabilizing the KB from the bottom. Normal KB presses should also be fine for vert. push and you'd have the freedom to go heavier, not be limited by grip.

    Something about an unstable load....?

Kettlebells still aren’t my bag quite yet...

Turkish Get Up, Side Press/Bent Press, and Halo are better for RC because the shoulder moves through different angles during those movements. More stability and strength through different angles, rather than almost static contraction during vert. press.

Do you mean holding it from the bottom or at the handle? I could see both stressing the grip differently.
