Covid-19: Karnataka to get two lakh doses of Covishield

Bengaluru, May 21 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Health and Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar today said that the State will get 2 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine today from the order placed by the State.



In a tweet, he said so far, the State has received 1,24,20,510 doses including 1,13,26340 (1,01,60,060 Covisheid & 11,66,280 Covaxin) from the Centre & 10,94,170 (9,50,000 Covishield & 1,44,170 Covaxin) from State procurement.

He said that news of excited to learn that Bharat Biotech will start production of Covaxin at its Ankleshwar plant in Gujarat soon. With its production facilities in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Gujarat, the company will soon produce 100 crore doses per year.
